My Skincare Routine

Hey Klassy Ladies and Gents,

I wanted to come to you with my skincare routine that keeps my skin clear, clean, and free of breakouts. My routine is pretty simple because I don’t really have any specific skin problems or problem areas; however, there are times that my skin does feel like it needs to be refreshed and revived.

My Skin with absolutely no makeup!

When I was younger, I referred to my skin as dry, but within the past year or two, I noticed that I now have pretty normal skin with a hint of combination skin. In the winter, my skin does feel more dry like most people, but even during other seasons I have those days where my skin doesn’t feel as radiant as it could be. I also have those days where my skin accumulates more oil around the region of my forehead, eyes, and nose.

Everyday I wash my face with Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover and I moisturize with Alba Botanica Oil-Free Radiance Cream. Both consist of natural ingredients and never feel too heavy. I will say that I do not enjoy the fragrance of the Alba Botanica, but it works amazingly, and kept my skin feeling moisturized during the cold months.

I don’t wear makeup everyday just as a personal preference, but on the days that I do wear any form of makeup, especially foundation, I make sure that I use Makeup Remover cleansing towelettes by Equate. The Walmart store brand is compared to Neutrogena and still does the job for me.

I noticed that on nights that I forget to remove my makeup, I do wake up with much more oily skin, so if you struggle with oily skin you should ALWAYS be removing your makeup thoroughly to prevent this. It is also important to remove your makeup so that you can prevent breakouts. Makeup can clog your pores and leave you with some not so appealing bumps.

In addition, I also always cleanse my face after my gym routine. This might be common sense for many, but I just want to stress the importance of it. When you sweat, salt is released, and causes your skin to feel dry and lifeless. But if you remove the sweat from your face after working out, you’ll be left with rejuvenated skin.

Last but not least, I use the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals once a month to clear my skin of possible dead skin, clogged pores that result in black/whiteheads, or any blemishes that need to be cleared away. I absolutely love this mask! It truly makes a difference. After using it, my skin looks brighter and healthier. I definitely would recommend this product as treat for you skin.

Oh, and if you haven’t read my blog post about dark circles you should definitely check it out! RoC is also a part of my skincare routine, but since it has worked on my dark circles, I only use it 1-2 times a week at most.

If you have any questions, feel free to comment below! Healthy Tip: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin clear. The more water I drink during the week, the clearer my skin is most times!
