This Trendy Tuesday is more sensitive than my regular fashion or entertainment spiel. This trendy Tuesday is about our bodies. This was on my heart after I had a conversation with a friend whose been bothered about her physical appearance by everyone: boyfriend, friends, parents. When she confided in me, it really made my blood boil because she’s no more than 120 lbs; she’s either too curvy or too skinny. But she eats healthy and she exercises regularly.
The thing that most people don’t know is that smaller females tend to fluctuate in size ( >< 5-10 lbs) depending on their life at the moment (school, children/reproduction, environment, etc.).
Our conversation brought me to this conclusion, if you wake up in the morning and say “I look great, and feel great” then that’s all that matters. Consider that your body is your body and just like your unique personality and fingerprint, your body is the same. Thus, you must cater to it as such.
If you’re struggling with how you look, by all means, consider getting the physical help you need. One of our bloggers is a personal trainer- Ms. Bria Ranson. She’s amazing and will definitely cater to you! If you’re diet is causing health problems, then change your diet. A friend of mine had to become vegan because she was having constant allergic reactions.
The bottom line is, you have to do what you have to do for you and no one else; you’re the one carrying the body; you’re the one who looks in the mirror everyday. Be able to wake up and say “Scheesh, I look good😍”. Because at the end of the day, our body looks the best when it’s wearing confidence!
Love you ladies! I encourage you to love your bodies.
